I love the Target Dollar Spot!

So every summer I get really excited when the Target Dollar Spot starts stocking all of the teacher and classroom supplies.  Last week I picked up a few different classroom items at the Dollar Spot and today, I went to a different Target and grabbed a few more!! Here are some of the fun things I bought!!
These are all of the things I bought today at Target!
Dry erase labels!  They come in packs of 24.  I'm not sure what I'll use them for yet.  Maybe library labels or cubby labels.
Birthday bookmarks and birthday "flyers?" Everyone loves birthday items!!
ABC chart with writing lines.  I'm thinking I'll use this at a writing center.
Double sided dry erase lap boards.  I bought 5 of them.  I'm looking forward to using these for small groups and centers.
ABC writing cards.  I bought 5 packs to use for centers.  I will punch a whole in the corners and put them on a binder ring to keep them organized and together.
Desk tags in two different styles and "Hello my name is.." name tags for the first day of school!  I love having name tags!!
Today is, Tomorrow is, and yesterday was set.. This'll be great for my calendar wall!

These are the things I bought last week at the Target Dollar Spot:
Month names and a numbers/counting poster.
Wall calendar and a "Today's weather is" for my calendar wall.
Sentence cards.  I LOVE these! This was the only thing that was not $1 - it was $3 which is still a great steal!! This is the k-1 set but they also had a 2-3 set.  The cards are color coded based on the part of speech.  I LOVE this!! I will probably be using it to differentiate kids who are ready for sentence building!

What fun things did you find at the Dollar Spot?

Common Core State Standards Folder Labels

Last summer, I spent hours writing out each CCSS on little labels and attaching them to file folders to revamp my filing cabinet.  Last year was the second year my school implemented the math CCSS and the first year we were going to be focusing on the ELA standards.  I took out all of my old CST files and replaced them with th common core files.

I use my files everyday to organize all of the lessons, papers, activities, task cards, graphic organizers. ISN pages, and tests we use with our curriculum.  Having these files labeled and organized by standard is a LIFESAVER!!

On top of my filing cabienet, I had a paper sized basket where I put papers I need to file but that I don't have time to file right that minute.  Every few days, I'll take about five minutes to file these papers away.  The whole system is REALLY effective and helpful.

Over the year, I decided to revamp my files by making these lables that can easily be printed out on any Avery mailing label.  I LOVE them!!  I am in the process of making them for multiplegrades, but currently I have them for 3rd grade and half of 4th.

I've divided the subjects up and then combined them as a bundle.  I will be posting them for each grade level as I go along!

Here are the bundles for each of the grade levels K-4:

Five For Friday [June 12]

I made it one of my goals for this month to figure out how to do the five for Friday and do at least one for the month!  I'm so excited for my first five for Friday to be this week!!

This was the last week of school! We finished school on Tuesday.  It was a really long year but I learned a lot from all that I went through. There are so many last minute things to do with the end of the year.  These were the "We had a ball this year" tags I found on TPT for free to make attach to the beach balls that were a part of my student gifts.
Now that it's officially summer, I enjoyed getting to sleep in a little bit and spend more time with this girl!!  She's pretty stubborn and pretends she doesn't really care if we're around, but deep down, she loves us and just wants to know we're here with her.

After three years at my school, my husband and I have decided to move further south.  I have had so many amazing and life changing memories at this school over the past three years! I bought a house while working here, started dating my husband, was proposed to in this classroom, got married, and now am taking a huge leap of faith to move forward!

We're heading to VEGAS today to spend time with my Grandpa and my aunt who are in town.  I'm so excited to get to see them and enjoy their company!! It'll be a HOT weekend so we're for sure going to be at the pool!!
